'80s how it began

meet the founder

Founder and designer, Hamid Sabry, an artist by nature and mechanical engineer by profession, began his journey making classic furniture in the '80s. He went on to build billiard tables, even pioneering a billiard hall in Egypt.
90's a niche opportunity

Early '90s, inspired by the needs of his own children, Hamid identified an underserved niche in Egypt– playgrounds. Until today, alamein continues to develop signature jungle gyms, swing sets, playhouses, seesaws and more. play

nile class

The Nile Class sailing boat was purpose-built to revive an old nile racing sport and a sailing club was born. Featured in the press, the woodwork, sails and workmanship showcased custom design expertise. explore projects

outdoor, street and play

Later on, Hamid decided to make a line of outdoor furniture pieces that could be batch produced. He designed chairs, tables, benches, umbrellas - all foldable, stackable and easy to store. Today, our portfolio includes outdoor and street furniture, play systems including game tables, playgrounds and play equipment, and outdoor fitness equipment.
